The Ventura Veterans Center offers confidential Readjustment Counseling for Veterans, service members, and their families at no cost in a non-medical setting. Services include counseling for needs in cases involving depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and more. The Jimmy Surf Fiesta is a unique team surfing contest that takes place the second Saturday in October each year in El Porto. The contest is designed to foster camaraderie and aloha in the water and is not hyper-competitive like other contests.
